About AISU@HOME

AISU is a k-8 charter school located in Murray, Utah, which offers some great learning options, both at home and on campus.

General benefits of enrolling in the AISU@HOME program include:

  • Online learning resources
  • Learning Library resources
  • On-campus opportunities
  • Annual UTA pass for $135

Most AISU@HOME benefits are age specific.

Grades K-3

  • Optional Montessori based program at home with free materials and parent training.
  • Access to Compass Learning and Imagine Learning, online math and language programs.
  • Optional participation in on-campus speaker events and field trips with accompanying parent.

Grades 4-5

  • Your choice of curriculum for language arts, science, and social studies. Materials provided by AISU per request.
  • Optional Go Math workbooks.
  • Access to online math, language, typing, and foreign language programs (such as Compass Learning and Imagine Learning)
  • Access to on-campus programs and enrichment classes such as Maker Spaces, Dance, Drama, Art, Music, and Chinese (up to 3 per week).
  • Optional participation in on-campus special events, field trips, clubs and sports.

Grades 6-8

  • Your choice of curriculum for math, language arts, science, and social studies. Materials provided by AISU per request.
  • Access to on-campus courses including one math course plus one elective per trimester (technology, engineering, performing arts, or PE)
  • Two-week hands-on “Learning Intensives” offered three times per year
  • Optional participation in on-campus special events, field trips, clubs and sports.

AISU@HOME Requirements

  • Attendance reports
  • Portfolios submitted each trimester to show progress in grade-level standards.
  • Demonstrate core curriculum competency (work at your own pace).
  • Dibels and SAGE tests (opt-out available).

Virtual High School Program

AISU now offers a virtual high school program for high schoolers to learn online at home or at learning centers in Murray and Ogden.

    AISU has changed their homeschool options. You now have to use their programs for middle-highschool. Or their partner programs- You have a much more limited selection than when it had originally been conceived.

      Yes, the options and mechanics are constantly changing as laws change. But, AISU does still pay for 3rd party programs if they are different enough from what they already offer. Actually, we recently partnered with AISU to be a science program provider for their @HOME students who wish to have a hands-on science and/or engineering class.
